“I’ve been interested in piercings since I was a little girl. I had my lobes pierced at the age of 6, before I was 14 I had about 4 holes in each lobe and my best friend and I used to stick glitter stones on our noses because we wanted to get nostril piercings even though we were way to young at that time. So when I was 14 I had my bellybutton pierced and a year later my nostril after nagging to my mum till she couldn’t listen to it anymore. Both of these were done under circumstances (the navel at doctor and the nostril at a jeweler with a piercing gun) which I wouldn’t approve for piercings anymore with the knowledge that I have now about body modification but neither me or my mum knew better at that point. But the older I got the more I got into it , reading books about tattoos, looking through websites about body modification for hours and the more I saw and knew the bigger my horizon became and the more modifications I wanted for myself. So when I was 18 I had eight piercings and two tattoos and was hungry for more but due to my job and relation ship situation back then it was hard to add anything more to my collection. That changed dramatically a year later when I met Lucas. We became a couple after we met on a body modification website, not long after that I moved in with him, changed jobs and started to get as modified as I always dreamed to be. I am by far not finished yet but doing with my body what pleases my own eyes and soul made me a stronger and happier person and I am excited to accompany other people on their body modification journey when they decide to visit our shop Pirate Piercing. It makes me proud and deeply happy to be a part of all that.”

"It all started when i was about 6 years old and I saw my brother sitting on the stairs with a little metal ring around hes lobe. I can still hear my mom say: "toon you better cut that shit" but i couldn't help staring at that cool shiny thing in my brothers ear. Then when i was 14 years old i got my first piercing and it was 1998 when I  first began to experiment with piercing my own body, I still remember the first one I ever did on my, it was my navel and I showed it to all my friends during the sports class. Proud as hell I was! Once started I couldn't stop anymore. Piercing was the only thing on my mind. A dozen piercings later when I was finished with school and working I had to get reconstructive surgery on my ankle and I wasn't allowed to do heavy work for a year. That was the perfect oppurtunity to get deeper into piercing. In that year I pierced alot on myself, friends and people I knew. At the end of that year I had around 50 piercings myself and my best friend around 40 piercings. At that time one of the biggest piercingshops was looking for a piercer and they hired me, based on the work they saw on me and my best friend. I worked there about 3 years starting from nothing and I worked myself up to the manager position. The last 6 months my girlfriend worked there aswell but the longer the more we had the burning desire to open our own shop."
